Then you’ll be thrilled by the soaring fountains of superheated water at the Geysir Geothermal Area and the tremendous two-tier 30-meter waterfall at Gullfoss. Along the way you will be treated to mesmerizing views of Iceland´s landscapes, make sure you have your camera ready! We offer a range of options and departure times to make this a fun-filled experience you’ll never forget! Viking History & Colliding Continents at Iceland´s pingvellir National Park Your first stop on Iceland's famous Golden Circle is Thingvellir (pingvellir) National Park, a place of outstanding natural beauty and the birthplace of the Icelandic Parliament. The Vikings made their laws for a thousand years and celebrated summer festivals in this stunning location. You can walk between the towering North American tectonic plates and Eurasian tectonic plates here, which are splitting apart at the speed of a few millimeters a year. Iceland declared its independence here in 1944, and in 2004, Thingvellir was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Imagine yourself walking with Vikings in this magical place! Bubbling with Excitement at Geysir Geothermal Area The next adventure on your Golden Circle tour is the world-famous Geysir Geothermal Area in the Haukadalur Valley. The world’s geysers take their name from this place – Geysir means “to gush” in Icelandic. Geysir itself erupts very rarely now, but don’t worry! Nearby, Strokkur is very active, with fountains of boiling hot water soaring high into the sky every 10 minutes or so. It truly is one of Iceland´s must see attractions. Feel the earth tremble beneath your feet as it prepares to explode, and smell the sulfur in the air! This is where you can really experience Iceland’s powerful underground geothermal energy at close quarters. Just watch which way the wind is blowing! Majestic Gullfoss Falls, the Golden Falls of Hvita River Next on our Golden Circle tours is a trip to Gullfoss Waterfall, which translates as the “Gold Falls” is a short drive from the Great Geysir. Fed by glacial meltwater from Langjökull Glacier (the Long Glacier), you’ll be amazed by this roaring two-tiered waterfall, plunging more than 30 meters and then crashing deep into a rocky canyon. If you visit on a sunny day, you’ll see spectacular rainbows rising above the waters, or if you’re here in the winter, the falls will be a frozen wonderland instead! Clouds of spray hang in the air, making Gullfoss Waterfall a sensational sight, and there are several viewing platforms so you can experience it at different levels. We’ll stop for lunch at the excellent Gullfoss Waterfall Café. Kerid Crater Visit the spectacular Kerid Volcanic Crater, a 3000 year old crater which is 55 meters deep. Overnight stay at Reykjavik Hotel.

Snowmobiling Today after breakfast, we move to Gullfoss for our Snowmobiling tour which is a 95 minute non stop drive up there. After a great Golden Circle trip of your own, park your car at Gullfoss Café and you will be stunned by the Monster Trucks and Super Jeeps from Mountaineers of Iceland that await your arrival. Our driver will greet you at our meeting point sign and from there we start the journey to the glacial highlands of Iceland, driving from Gullfoss to Langjokull glacier. The epic scenery on the way and the impassable road that our massive machinery eats through is an adventure on its own. Once we get to the glacier we will step out of the monster truck and into our glacier hut for snowsuits and other accessories that keep you warm during the snowmobile ride. After suiting up we head to our parked snowmobile rows and the guide will go through the details of how to operate the snowmobile. No worries, it´s quite easy. After the short introduction, you select your snowmobile and once the guide signals you to go, the ride begins. Riding the glacier and with good visibility, you will be emerged in the epic surroundings and lava formed rock mountains. Total whiteout is always a possibility but that is no less fun and what we truly call the moods of Mountaineers. Ice Caves The ride will take you to our newly structured Glacier Ice Cave that Mountaineers have built so that you take a look inside the glacier. After a thorough look inside the Glacier, we then head back to our Basecamp in our snowmobiles and then start making our way back down to Gullfoss. We will head out of the city away from any light pollution to the best location , chosen on the day, for visibility of the evening. We sometimes need to wait for the Northern lights to appear, and even change location over the evening. The guide is always in contact with our office and other locals for details on where the visibility is best each evening in case they need to change location. We always try to go where the crowds are not, but can not always guarantee that others looking for the Northern lights will not show up at the same spot. Overnight in ReykJavik.

Today after breakfast, drive with your private car enroute to South Coast Tour. Explore Iceland’s spectacular south coast on a 2-day tour with overnight accommodation that takes in the beaches, mountains, and wildlife of the Skaftafell Nature Reserve. You’ll hike on a glacier, check out a plane wreck on a striking black sand beach, and visit the Jökulsárlón Lagoon, where icebergs and seals bob in clear glacier water. Along the way, you’ll travel with a small group of like-minded travelers and a guide for an intimate and personalized tour. Seljalandsfoss The adventure begins when we pick you up in Reykjavík in a small and comfortable minibus before heading straight to the South. Our arrival is announced by the powerful theatrics of Seljalandsfoss. Bring a raincoat and you’ll be able to make the short hike behind the falls. The scene behind the fall and the trembling ground from the power of the falling water makes for an automatic Instagram blockbuster! Skógafoss Further east along the coast is Skógafoss waterfall. Skógafoss is an incredibly picturesque sight. Tucked in a little gorge, the river Skógá tumbles down a 60 meter cliff before continuing down the landscape towards the Atlantic Ocean. Alongside the gorge a staircase can take you to the shelf above the waterfall for stunning views. See if you can count your steps on your way up. Reynisfjara Heading further east, we visit the black sand beach of Reynisfjara where the Atlantic coastline presents massive waves hitting the unique basalt columns in the cliffs above the sand. Rock pillars in the water and the cliffs of Dýrhólaey are seen in the distance. This area of the south is also a paradise for bird lovers, as puffins and dozens of other unique species nest on top of these cliffs in the summertime from June to August. Overnight in Vik.

Today start your tour by visiting, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon Boat Tours and Café Heading off on the second day, you’ll head to Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, a 200m deep glacial lagoon fed by Breioamerkurjokull, an outlet glacier of Europe’s largest glacier. Enormous icebergs come from Breioamerkurjokull all year round so the lagoon is usually filled with ice that floats south. Troll Expeditions will give you the opportunity to join a boat ride among the icebergs during summer time and get a closer look of the millenary ice. Fellfjara On the other side of the road the icebergs from Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon float into the Atlantic Ocean where they are quickly thrown back to shore by the tide and winds. This black sand beach is full of smaller ice rocks in all shapes and sizes, sparkling like diamonds in the daylight. The ice itself comes in all shades of white and blue forming beautiful contrasts, guaranteed to make your Instagram account pop! Crystal-Ice-Cave A visit to a naturally formed Ice Cave is a once in a lifetime experience! The astonishing blue glacial ice caves are only found deep inside of glaciers. They formed by the power of meltwater as it travels through the crevasse channels of a glacier, as the meltwater carves out huge tunnels and holes deep inside the ice. When the cold season comes, the caves that the water left behind freeze completely so that they become stable and safe to visit. The natural light seeping through the dense ice is unique and it gives the cave an adventurous atmosphere. This is definitely a must-see for everyone and especially photographic enthusiasts!

This is the perfect way to explore Iceland’s incredible scenery without being stuck on a crowded bus. Get out in the open air and ride an Icelandic horse from the stables in Vik to a picturesque black sand beach. No need to worry if you’ve never ridden a horse before—this experience is suitable for beginners and goes at a slow and calm pace. Post ride, get back into your car and get transferred to Reykjavik Hotel. Sky Lagoon Relax in the geothermal spa, the Sky Lagoon, when in Kopavogur, and take the hassle out of your visit by pre-booking your ticket. You won’t have to wait in line on arrival. Instead, you can use the changing facilities, provided towels, and make your way into the spa. Then, take your relaxation deeper with the 7- step ritual of Icelandic bathing. Overnight in ReykJavik.
